The language Rwanda requires
Rwanda handles official papers in Kinyarwanda, so an English record travels with a Kinyarwanda sheet beside it. You order a certified translation into Kinyarwanda in Liverpool and nothing is done to your own paper. A second sheet is written, signed and attached, and a reader holds the pair side by side.
What the signature certifies
The signed line makes a narrow, checkable claim: the Kinyarwanda says what the English says. It names the person who wrote it and states the standing they hold, which here is an ITI/CIOL-qualified certified translator. That is a real credential a reader can look up, and it is the whole basis on which the sheet is accepted.
Narrow is the point. A claim you can check is worth more than a broad reassurance nobody can test. Because the statement is limited to the crossing between two languages, a named person can honestly stand behind it, and an official Kinyarwanda translation in Liverpool means the same thing every time it appears.
Where its job stops
It says nothing about whether your certificate is real. A translator sees an image, not a register, and has no way to judge whether the paper behind it was properly issued. Anyone claiming otherwise is selling you something they cannot deliver, and a reader who relied on it would be misled.
That question belongs to the body that made the record. Keeping the two apart is why the signed line is trusted: a certified translation for Rwanda answers a language question cleanly, and leaves the questions about the source paper to the office that holds the register.
Per-page cost & turnaround
The rate is about £25 for each page of the source paper. Pages are counted on the English sheets, never on words, and the signed statement is part of the price rather than a line added on top. Standard work takes 2–3 business days from a clean scan, and 24 hours on the express lane.
Acceptance in Rwanda
Since the work runs from an image, the record itself can stay in your house from start to finish. Where it is a birth, marriage or death registered in this city, Liverpool Register Office issues fresh certified copies from St George's Hall, St George's Place, Liverpool L1 1JJ, so a spare can be ordered instead of risking the sheet you hold.
