A page is more than its sentences

A certified translation for Bangladesh has to deal with everything the sheet carries. Beside the text there is usually a seal, one or two stamps, a signature and a printed reference number, and each of those tells a reader something. Leaving them unmentioned would make the Bengali version look thinner than the paper it came from.

So the finished text holds two kinds of content. There are translated sentences, saying in Bengali what the English said. And there are bracketed notes, stating plainly that a mark exists at a given point on the sheet. The second kind is easy to overlook and surprisingly hard to do well.

Bengali for the reader, digits for the check

Bangladesh works in Bengali, so a certified translation into Bengali in Sunderland is what the file needs. The sentences change language and the numbers do not. A certificate number, a register entry number and a date of issue all appear in the Bengali pages in the same form they take on the English sheet.

That combination is deliberate. Someone who reads no English can still lay the two documents side by side and find the same identifiers in both, in the same order, with the same number of digits. It is the simplest check available to a reader who cannot judge the wording for themselves.

Who signs, and what the certificate covers

The work is done by a certified Bengali translator and issued with a certificate of accuracy attached to the Bengali pages. That certificate speaks for the document as produced: the translated sentences and the notes describing seals, stamps and signatures are covered by the same signature and the same name.

No sworn Bengali translator in Sunderland features in that standard. The credential belongs to the certified translator who signed, and the descriptions of the marks fall inside what the signature stands behind, which is why they are written out carefully rather than skipped as decoration.

Per-page cost and turnaround

Work is priced at about £25 per page, with a standard turnaround of 2–4 business days or 24–48 hours on the express option. A heavily stamped page takes no longer than a plain one, since describing a mark is quicker work than translating a paragraph of continuous text.

What does slow a job down is a copy in which the marks cannot be made out. Ordering a fresh certified copy from Sunderland Registration Service gives sharp seals and clean stamp impressions, and it keeps the household's own record at home rather than travelling through the postal system.
